James Badge Dale Dallas Roberts Join Liam Neeson in 'The Grey'

We've already heard that A-Team director Joe Carnahan would re-team with the film's star Liam Neeson for The Grey – a thriller that follows a group of Alaskan pipeline workers hunted by wolves in the frigid wilderness after their plane crashes on their way back home. Now we have word on the cast surrounding Neeson in the man vs. nature thriller as Deadline reports "Rubicon" stars James Badge Dale (left) and Dallas Roberts (right) will play two of the oil-rig roughnecks in danger. Production was greenlit to begin next week up in Vancouver and Northern British Columbia where it can be as cold as 30 degrees below zero!

Also joining the cast will be Dermot Mulroney (Flash of Genius), Frank Grillo (My Soul to Take), Nonso Anozie (RocknRolla) and Joe Anderson (The Crazies). Props to all of them for braving the cold weather which Carnahan loves as a way of making the story more intense and realistic. The director says, "It gets to be 30 below, and when we went out the other day, I took off my hat to see how long I could last, and my skin was burning with frostbite in a little over a minute. In a way, it’s great, because it beats the shit out of the cast and that suits the storyline.” I would say that this is one of the many reasons actors get paid so much for their job, but this is an indie production, and the paychecks aren't going to be very big. With "Rubicon" being canceled, I'm just glad to see James Badge Dale and Dallas Roberts working together again. Interested?
