Whether we walk away from 2010 remembering Tron Legacy as the worthy sequel we thought we'd never see, or one big let down, I know we'll never forget the jaw-dropping visuals that director Joseph Kosinski and a hell of a team at Digital Domain brought us. Visual News posted an exhilarating eight-minute long making of video that plays sort of as a long demo reel. They cover everything from the lightcycles to a young Kevin Flynn and all the amazing digital environments that make that movie so awesome to watch in IMAX 3D. Tron also made it to the next round for VFX at the Oscars, they definitely deserve the acclaim. Enjoy!
Tron Legacy was released in theaters on December 17th last month after two years in production and has gone on to make over $245 million worldwide. Did you enjoy the movie? Join our Sound Off discussion!
Tron Legacy is directed by first-time filmmaker Joseph Kosinski. The screenplay was co-written by Adam Horowitz ("Lost"), Richard Jefferies (Blood Tide, Living Hell), Edward Kitsis ("Lost") and the director of the original movie, Steven Lisberger. This was first greenlit because the test teaser played so well at Comic-Con. Disney finally opened Tron Legacy in theaters in 3D on December 17th. Hopefully you've seen it by now!
