New Official Trailer for Crazy Killer Tire Film 'Rubber'
Last year we featured a teaser trailer for a film called Rubber about, believe it or not, a sentient rubber tire that rolls around and blows people up because it doesn't like the way humans treat, well, tires. I saw the film in Cannes (read my review) then it played Fantastic Fest int he fall, where our own Jeremy Kirk saw it and loved it (read his glowing review). Rubber is hitting limited theaters in a few months, and Magnet Releasing has released a theatrical trailer that's just as wacky as the film itself. This is easily the weirdest and wackiest film I've seen, but watch out, because not everyone is going to love this (I didn't like it). But enjoy anyway!
In the Californian desert, an incredulous audience gathers to watch a telepathic tire's adventures that are mysteriously attracted by a beautiful lady. An investigation begins. Their official site - rubberfilm.com.
Rubber is written and directed by French filmmaker Quentin Dupieux, aka Mr. Oizo (who is a well-known French music producer), who has a few other indie films under his belt including Nonfilm and Steak. This first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year and was eventually picked up by Magnet Releasing for distribution. Rubber arrives in limited theaters starting on April 1st this spring. Anyone curious to see it?
