Five stories that will mess you up for life. I don't know what this is and I really have no clue what is even going on, but it looks pretty frickin' wild, almost to the point where I'm actually kind of interested in seeing it. ShockTillYouDrop recently debuted a red band trailer for an indie anthology horror film called Burning Palms. I'd never heard of it before, but it has quite a cast for an indie: Zoe Saldana, Paz Vega, Jamie Chung, Rosamund Pike, Lake Bell, Shannen Doherty, Nick Stahl and even Dylan McDermott. But if you watch this - prepare to be freaked out. There's so much odd imagery! Nothing is what it seems...
Here's the plot from IMDb: A subversive tale that interlaces five stories set in Los Angeles, where no taboo is left unexplored as each character careens toward a dark and often comic fate. Any idea what it's about?
Burning Palms is both written and directed by first-time feature filmmaker Christopher B. Landon, formerly a consulting producer on "Dirty Sexy Money" who also wrote scripts for Disturbia and Blood and Chocolate, and was brought in to help write Paranormal Activity 2 & 3. This played at the Newport Beach Film Festival in early 2010 but is just now being released in limited theaters by New Films Cinema starting January 14th this month.
