Watch: New 'Green Lantern' Trailer Mash-Up Featuring Deadpool
After Warner Bros debuted the teaser trailer for the anticipated DC Comics' adaptation of Green Lantern, many fans were left with mixed feelings. The lengthy and tonally inconsistent trailer even left some wishing Ryan Reynolds was starring in Marvel's adaptation of Deadpool instead. While I'm reserving my judgment until the movie actually comes out, the folks at Deadpool and Friends (via GeekTyrant) have decided to spice up the Green Lantern trailer with some choppy animation and crude, but funny, voiceover as if DC's movie actually starred the Merc with a Mouth, complete with his sarcasm. Watch the foul-mouthed trailer below!
We admit this is a bit silly (and certainly not for kids if you haven't figured it out by now), but it's Friday and we love a good laugh as much as the next web surfer. There's plenty of pop culture references that will keep even the casual Deadpool fan in the loop with jokes about Halo, Kick-Ass and even "Gossip Girl." Although this may not be a real taste of what Ryan Reynolds' version of Deadpool will be like, this is all we're going to get from everyone's favorite merc for awhile. Though Reynolds confirmed his commitment to the part, he's one of the most popular actors working and with many projects on his slate, who knows when he'll get to it.
